- I joined Huawei Japan Research Center as a computer vision researcher, July 1, 2015.

- Our work on 3D archive of Angkor Wat has appeared on TV, "The World Heritage & Next Door +" by TBS, Feb 22, 2015.

- Contratulations to Prof. Ikeuchi for winning the Okawa Prize 2014 and look forward to seeing him at Computer Vision Symposium on Mar 5, 2015.

- Our new article, "Scene Understanding by Reasoning Stability and Safety," has been accepted by IJCV.

- The 2nd Vision Meets Cognition Workshop in conjuction with CVPR2015 will be held on Jun 11, 2015, Boston, MA.

- Congratulations! 3DVision 2014 was a very successful conference.

- We held the successful 3rd ACCV workshop on E-heritage on Nov. 2, 2014, at Singapore.

Short bio

Dr. Bo Zheng is a research scientist working with Japan Research Center, Huawei Japan. Before he joined Huawei, he was a project associate professor in Computer Vision Lab, Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo, from Oct. 2008 to July. 2015.

He received his B.S. degree from the department of computer science, Beijing University of Technology, 2001; he received his M.E. degree under the supervision of Prof. Shao-Liang Zhang from department of Applied Physics, Engineering School, The University of Tokyo, 2005; He got his Ph.D. degree, under the supervision of Prof. Katsushi Ikeuchi, from department of Information Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo, 2008. He worked with Fujitsu CO., Ltd. as a system engineer in 2005. He was a visiting scholar in Prof. Song-chun Zhu's group, UCLA. His research interests include computer vision and graphics, 3D vision, image understanding, object recognition, algebraic representation, 3D scene parsing and solving large-scale and sparse linear systems.
